Smile Need information about relocating to Knoxville area

I am in search of information regarding relocating to Knoxville or surrounding areas. My boyfriend is an electrician by trade and I am a revenue auditor for a local casino with many years administrative and accounting experience. We would like to live in a suburb area within decent distance to commute if necessary. I would like to know how the economy is as well as rental costs for a two or three bedroom house/apartment/duplex.

We lived in Maryville, right outside Knoxville. My sister works for a major boat group as an accountant (she has her MBA from UT). Housing is not bad and the economy seems to be stable. We lived there for three years and moved due to a military transfer. My sister and her family have been there for over 20 years. You may want to look into living in that area.

Based on conversations I have had with several builders lately, things are very slow in the construction field. Getting a job as an electrician may not be as easy as it would have been a few years ago.
