Great news! It is sunny and a bit chilly today, complete difference from yesterdays activity. I'm thankful for another beautiful East Tn. day.

Hugs to you Pam, for letting everyone know that I'm okay.

I still have a little bit of juice over at Comcast so this morning I called my chips in and in less than two hours I was on. Seems that the tree did NOT knock out the phone, internet and cable. KUB did when they brought the bucket truck onto the property to hook the power back up.

And the tree may have been traumatized by the accident that happened on Friday night. A vehicle with six teenagers sailed through the next door's wrought iron fence and traveled about 500 feet towards my back yard. Monday morning I noticed my 50-foot hickory was leaning - a lot. One small wind on Wednesday night and bam, it was over.

I'm beginning to think I live in the Bermuda Triangle of Knoxville!

Pam, I'll call you in a little bit. I think I'm going to contact the insurance company after all...

These storms were the worst I have ever seen in 15 years. They were the largest I've seen and never so many up and down the Tennessee and Ohio valleys. At least 28 dead from Illinois down I believe.
