That being said I agree totally with BUZZ and OLECAPT [damn did I really say that]

The drivers bring all the bad habits of other places and they dont mix with out bad habits.

The number crunchers couldnt pass 3 grade math...if youre doing a ratio like that you MUST consider the total number of ACTUAL drivers in the area for the time you are sampling.

I think it's booze, drugs, shiftwork(tired all the time), and lost tourists.

JMHO but the worst drivers, Cali. Hands down. And a huge percentage of the people here came from........

In California there are two main problems.

#1 People now going into an intersection on a full on red light. They of course beep their horn like that would do much.

#2 (and I am going to be 100% honest).
Asian drivers are the worst. Many drive like they are on drugs or they have brain freeze.
30 mpg in a 65.
Right turns across traffic from the left lane.
Stopping at a green light.
They also seem to love to play bumper car all the time.

#3 Elderly who are driving, but should have had their liscence taken away, (like th Asians, except they tend to barely go over 30 and tend to stay in one lane...the fast lane).

Default con job...

As I said above simply a con job. Reflects only the view of an insurance company...has nothing to do with the quality of the driving.

Look at who comes after Las Vegas...

at 145 Orlando
at 149 Irvine
at 159 NYC
at 161 Houston
at 167 Chicago
at 169 Miami
at 173 Dallas
at 177 Alexandria
at 183 Los Angeles
at 185 San Francisco
at 187 Philadelphia
at 192 Baltimore
at 193 Washington DC

That says Las Vegas is actually very good for a big city...

Californians refuse to use their turn signals is what I notice the most. A lot of elderly people are terrible drivers as well. Usually they drive too slow or I see them driving in the shoulder. I saw a senior repeatedly hit a truck trying to get into a parking space at Summerlin hospital. She kept backing in & out of the spot hitting the truck everytime she backed out-couldn't believe it.

You are talking Cali though, have you ever driven in Manhattan, it ain't the Asians anymore. Some of the cities that are worst than Vegas don't have as many Asian populations as Cali but they are still bad.

I've seen that as well in a parking garage in Boston. Completely unaware that he was making contact even though his car would visibly shake each time. He sped off after and I wrote down his plate # and put it on the windshield of the guy's car. I would have liked to be a fly on the wall when that old guy got a call from his insurance.

El Paso has terrible drivers. I almost had a wreck today when some driver merged onto the freeway going 20 miles an hour in 65 mile an hour traffic.

Some day you will be old and this will still be on the internet.

Californicators do so use their turn signals ...they flash them once, right after they already changed lanes without looking and ran you off the road.

These numbers from the "study" are obviously going to be used as an excuse to raise our premiums.

I found that it depends where you are and time of day, so just like anywhere else. I think what tips the scales for Vegas is the amount of intoxicated people driving around.

When I first moved here it felt like people drive really fast. Now, I don't notice that as much. So...I guess I drive fast now?
