My girlfriend and I are moving to vegas for the summer. I've done extensive apartment hunting and have narrowed it down to four options. These four are all similar in price. Any opinions on any of these would be appreciated. (Yes I did search this forum, many times. Just looking for fresh opinions.)

Copper Creek: http://www.copperrents.com/CopperCre...rty/Index.aspx

Camden Del Mar: http://apartments.camdenliving.com/l...rtyDetail.aspx

San Croix: http://www.lasvegasliving.com/commun...-SanCroix.aspx

Positano: http://www.lasvegasliving.com/commun...-Positano.aspx

Copper Creek: Signature Management Las Vegas | Copper Creek Apartment Community

Camden Del Mar: Las Vegas, NV Apartments - Camden Del Mar

San Croix: Ovation :: San Croix

Positano: Ovation :: Positano
I can not recommend which is the best apartment or community, as I have never lived in any of these. However, I have lived in both locations. Camden Del Mar and San Croix appear to be located in the midwest region of Las Vegas, near Charleston and Flamingo areas. Even though they are not too bad on that side of town, I would lean towards the south end of Vegas if price is comparable. Positano is in a very nice location, towards St. Rose and Eastern (which has numerous small businesses and food joints). Copper Creek's location is more quiet, but closer to the 15, which is our major hwy. It is also the closest to a major casino (South Point and M), if you prefer that. Copper Creek would be my best bet...less traffic in the vicinity, nice location, and easily accessible to nearly everything....

Remember the crucial thing in any apartment is the local management.

That makes having view risky.

Camden del Mar is actually on the border of Summerlin and very convenient to the Boca Park developments. Actually walk to the restaurants with a little effort.

San Croix is in Spring Valley an older but quite nice neighborhood.

The other two are in the Silverado area which is very nice for the young and reckless and strip folk.

None of the four locations are bad. Depending on how young you are pick one. I would prefer the location of Camden del Mar but I also like Silverado. Or decide which unit looks best to you and go there. Nothing bad on your list.

San Croix is in a decent area of Spring Valley close to shopping/dining and 3 parks, Desert Breeze Park, Spring Valley Park and Old Spanish Trail Park. It is a short drive from the Strip. Camden Del Mar is also in a decent location.

Positano is nice and you can get a garage for a small extra fee per month. A friend of mine moved there in August and she said she just loves the whole area over there. She walks to everything.

Correction for my post above: You do not pay extra for your garage, some apts you get one, some apts you don't. And they won't be right under your apt. But it will be close by enough so you can go work in it from time to time sorting thru stuff.
You do have to pay for water and garbage. Around $20 a month. And my friend just sent me a message saying she still loves it there after 6 months. She works for the hospital which is nearby, so she just walks. She has lost 20 lbs without even trying since she moved there with all the walking.

What does the bolded part mean exactly?

I'm 23, gf is 21. Despite our age though, we are looking for a quieter area (We have a 2 year old). Which of the two areas, in your opinion, is safer? Less congested? Better traffic? I'll be commuting to the strip everyday for work btw.

I thought the Silverado area was more family oriented, no?
