Actually no Scoop. I followed I-10

I took Florida's Turnpike from Orlando up to I-75 in Wildwood, FL followed I-75 to I-10, and followed that ALL the way to Phoenix where I picked up Route 60 in Sun City, then Route 93 into Las Vegas via Wickenburg, AZ

According to Google Maps it was 2700 miles, it wasnt the shortest way but it was the easiest

But man I thought I would NEVER get out of Texas. 880 Miles from east to west. Texas alone was 1/3 of my trip

At least your not starting out by stage coach..Now those folks back in those days had to have some stones..
Thats a good way to look at it! Ill try that.

I went through about one tank every 500 miles. Altimas get about 30 mpg on the highway, mine was a little less due to the fact that I was going about 80+ mph the whole way and had the a/c BLASTING. (In late May, early June you HAVE to driving through that part of the country)
