The next week I went to In-N-Out just east of there on Craig and spent exactly $6 for a double burger, fries and soft drink. Very good meal, very good value. Five Guys just doesn't do it for me. In-N-Out does. Your mileage may vary.
My thoughts exactly. I did not care for the In-N-Out fries until I tried them well done. That did the trick for me

They are awesome, and they come in a drink cup. Del Taco's double cheeseburger is nothing to sneeze at either, it's similar to in-n-out but better. Weird that one of the best hamburgers in town comes from a Mexican fast food place.

I like all of the above, but one thing I recently RE-discovered is Fuddruckers at the Orleans Casino. They serve a Kobe beef burger there for $9.99. Not a bad price for Kobe beef and it was definitely delicious and juicy. I also like being able to add exactly what I want (in any amount) to my own burger. The place to "have it your way" is not Burger King, it's Fuddruckers!

Add me to the meh category for fat burger, five guys, et al. There's just something about in and out. Maybe it's an acquired taste but its like Roberto's carne asana burritos. I love those things while a lot of people think they're disgusting.

They are actually very, very good in an old Midwestern diner sort of way. I only eat hot dogs there which satisfies my hunger and I split the natural French fries with the boss. You can also get a beer which sets it way apart from most hamburger joints. And they stock tomato juice in small cans so the boss can reach b ack to her Canadian roots...yup the really do put tomato juice in beer.
Decided to forget about my low salt diet today and try a chili dog at that place. You're right, the name just doesn't stick. Something Grill, or Grill something with "hotdog" in it. I'm glad to see such an old fashioned diner here in Las Vegas, and the hot dog today was a welcome change; but nobody ...nobody...makes a good hot dog outside of Harrison County West Virginia. My hot dog chili is to die for. Theirs is to eat only because you can't get mine anyplace. I can't do onions anymore, so turned those down. Too bad, because a hot dog isn't a hot dog without chili, mustard, and onions. BUT, I asked for mustard and they put it on top of the chili. WRONG. The mustard goes on the bun, then the wiener, then the chili, then the onions. If you order the chili dog, that's all you get. I had to ask for mustard. The deluxe chili dog has mustard, chili and onions. Wieners should be boiled, so they are soft, not grilled which dries them out and kills the flavor, and buns should always be steamed. But since you'll never find the right chili outside of the Clarksburg area except at my house, you will never know good hot dogs. Although I ashamed to say that some hot dog joints in my hometown are no ruining those great hotdogs by adding coleslaw, at least you never have to ask for chili ...that's a given. There are pictures on this site that show what a real hotdog looks like. Ritzy Lunch - Clarksburg, WV

Next we'll discuss what is keeping we Las Vegans from getting pepperoni rolls (unless you come to my house). Bob Heffner's Pepperoni Roll Page - Fairmont, West Virginia

Yes, I did. Not sure what the year has to do with anything, I am pretty sure some people have had Five Guys for years!

You had a coney for breakfast? That is the first place my husband goes when he flies in to MI. Doesn't matter what time it is. It is the last place he hits before leaving too.
