I am shopping for new car insurance here in Las Vegas, so I can officially call myself a resident. I got a quote from a company called Esurance. However, I never heard of them and know nothing about them.
Has any one had any experience with them, especially if they had to make a claim?

Any information: good, bad or ugly?

I have esurance... great rates. Unfortunately, I can't give a full review of them until I actually "need" to use them for a claim.

Out of the 200+ reviews on this site alone, it seems that everyone is very satisfied with their rate/quote/price/payment plan until it is time to file a claim. Then that is when hell breaks loose.

I shopped around quite a lot (including Allstate/esurance) when switching from Farmers and found that State Farm had the best rates, by far. Of course, that was for my particular situation (zip code, age, cars, etc). YMMV.

We have had Esurance since we moved here in 2007. I am very happy with them, but we have never had to fix a vehicle that resulted from a crash. However, we did have someone make a claim on our insurance for an accident and they ended up paying the money out and didn't raise our rates...we didn't have full coverage on the vehicle the accident happened with.

Everything went smoothly and didn't have any problems, but that was about 4 yrs ago, but been happy with them since about 2006ish I think. U can call them or deal with them online and I like the online part, it is quick and simple to make a change to your policy even if you buy a vehicle on a Sunday.
