The most fun I have had watching sports at a bar was during the 2010 World Cup. I went to Crown and Anchor, and that place was so stupid packed, but as a guy who normally doesn't like crowded bars, I had the time of my life. I was there when Landon Donovan scored the last-minute goal against Algeria, and that led to possibly the loudest roar I have ever heard in my entire life.

That sounds fun. I used to like to go to the sports books to watch boxing. It's not the same as being ringside, but the crowd definitely adds to the excitement.

From an East Coaster...it just seems odd to start watching football at 10:00AM. My son just moved to CA so I sent him a text message at 1:00PM east coast time and said "Wake up...time for football!" He sent me a message back and said " I'm already at the bar." Breakfast and unlimited Mimosa's $4.50. Still seems odd.

I agree, I love watching boxing at the sports books. Great way to spend an afternoon.

Cracks me up that some people like to watch "professional wrestling" which is just a staged show. lol
...why do that when you can watch a REAL contest?

Monday Night Football this week had an early game (East coast) AND a later game (West coast). I think they started doing that just a few years ago.
