So, like another poster suggested, with the percentage of smokers dropping to 20%, then let the majority make the decision, like banning tobacco, or 100% smoke free everywhere.

Correspondingly, the percentage of tourists who come to Las Vegas to gamble has now sunk to 25%+ So, correspondingly, as well, when number of gamblers sinks to 20%, then let's just ban gambling everywhere?

Majority rulings, don't you just love it?

My liberties win.

Go outside and kill yourself without trying to take me with you.

Edit: That being said I still go to casinos. I avoid those with poor ventilation and tables with smokers. It's not that difficult.

When they banned smoking in Iowa there was a huge gloom and doom contingent saying that half the restaurants and most of the bars would close for lack of business.

What actually happened was that all the people who wouldn't go to either because of the smoke started going.

Business improved. Go figure.

Non-smokers cheer when they see the percentage of smokers keep declining, but there's something which is called a pendulum, and it would never occur to them the pendulum may start swinging back the other way some day!

Marijuana usage is a good example of that!
Huh? Not even remotely, is this a similar comparison. Smoking is hazardous to ones health. It has been determined that second hand smoke is carcinogenic as well. The primary reason cigarettes aren't banned outright is because of the enormous tax revenue they create. Marijuana is also carcinogenic, and smoking it will never be allowed in public places.

This map isn't entirely accurate. Smoking bans in TX are up to the city ordinances. There is no smoking in any public places in El Paso,TX. Arlington,TX and Fort Worth are the only cities that allow smoking in bars. Other states as well shown in black also have separate city ordinances prohibiting smoking.

Maybe not in our lifetime, but I have seen many things come to be that I never thought would. Never say never unless you have a crystal ball. Money talks.

Nope, not when "your liberties" are based on fraud and junk science.

BTW I noticed that Nevada now has the highest percentage of smokers in the US, Its also gone up in the last 6 years, good luck with your little "trend" lol

"Attrition" will take care of that 6 year trend.
