I lived in the Berkshires off and on for 15 years.. you should be alright in early November, maybe just a dusting, but you will definitely get below freezing at night, depending on where in the Berkshires you will be visiting.

Waiting on this cooler weather, this is pretty bad for mid September. Last month here before transfering out of town and of course one of my AC units craps out and in the best bit of irony my water heater goes out. So cold water and hot air.

Sorry! Last week we got just a tease of double digit weather. This heat is hanging on longer than I care for. I've been sweating since May! I was always of a mind, that the weather didn't get acceptable here, til around Halloween. When it dipped last week, I thought maybe we'd get lucky, earlier than normal. I pick my kids up from school and they are sweaty and exhausted, and want a shower and their bed. I don't blame them. I will admit to a few Popsicle bribes to get the homework started, without as much fuss.
