All the polls show that Hillary can't beat the republicans in the general election.
All the polls show Bernie does beat the republicans in the general election.

Bernie is not a perfect candidate, but the alternative is Trump, who is basically an ad campaign for a useless product. Ted Cruz who wants to end net neutrality (by far the worst thing any candidate proposes).
Rubio wants to blow up the world, literally. He's a little war monger.

All those candidates with the exception of Bernie Sanders will put us in another war given the choice.

This is what the celebrated intellectual Noam Chomsky said in his interview where he endorses Bernie Sanders for President. He also says that Hillary Clinton is really a moderate Republican and he explains why, and that Bernie Sanders is most like a descent and honest "New Deal" Eisenhower and not really a socialist.

In the video they start out talking about anti-war candidates and the broad spectrum in the political parties.

It's also why a Congresswoman in the DNC stepped down as an official last week and endorsed Bernie Sanders. She said in her interview given Clinton's record she has proven she will continue war through regime changes, and Sanders won't, and the people need to understand that. She's also speaking as a solider and veteran.

I watched 10 minutes of that and I gave up.

The Republicans are farther right then they have ever been? Are you kidding? They are the Democrats of 20 years ago. My Democrat family has switched to Republican because they are shocked at just how far everything has shifted left.

And this guy is a noted linguist. Ugh.

The guy who set up the email server, on which Clinton sent and received classified (illegal) emails, is offering to work with the FBI in exchange for immunity. I hope this is the final nail in hildabeast's coffin.

I would think that is bad for the State Dept IT and operations and good for Clinton.

That's just the first 4 minutes. He's an American linguist, MIT professor, philosopher, cognitive scientist, historian, logician and social critic who's authored over 100 books on war and propaganda. He tells it like it is based on historical facts.

Today's politicians are not yesterdays. Historically around 100 years ago Republicans were the Democrats and the Democrats were the Republicans and then the parties ideologies drifted over time. However, what he's referring to is not so far in our distance past. Eisenhower was President from 1953 - 1961. So he's referencing a political shift in the demographics in the last 50 - 60 years of both parties moving more right. That's why he says today's Republican candidates are far right on the political spectrum and today's moderate Democrat's are really yesterday's moderate Republicans.

FWIW both sides of my family are Republicans. I and my mother are kind of the odd ducks out. I remember learning about politics in the 4th grade and deciding I was more inline with the democrats during that presidential election and that's pretty much stayed that way since then. I guess I was just born this way. Only one of my brothers went from a staunch fiscal conservative republican to a moderate democrat. That was in the last ten years and I think it was because he married this gal and she her social milieu have persuaded him otherwise. Now they have kids together so he's heavily invested with his family. My other brothers are all pretty much these God fearing, gun-totting, republican, good-ol-boy, redneck, hunters, former soldiers and veterans like my Dad. We may not believe in the same things but we still get along and I love them. They're my family and we grew up together, but we're so different.

You must be excluding Drumpf from "the Republicans", because he stands no chance of winning in a general election.

Drumpf vs. Hillary. Hillary indicted in June. Terrorist attack in August. Drumpf wins. It's possible. Scary. But possible.

I now know what it's like to be a reasonable, thoughtful citizen in Berlin, circa 1932.

Bernie could beat Trump, but not Hillary. Thank god for that.

One thing Clinton supporters remain in complete denial about (other than the fact most Americans who don’t identify as Democrats find her to be somewhere in between untrustworthy and criminal), is that a significant number of Sanders supporters will never vote for Hillary. Forget the fact that I know a few personally, I’ve noticed several interviews with voters who proclaim Sanders to be their first choice but Trump their second.
