The county convention is Apr. 2. Still plenty of time to see how things shake out.

Even though Bernie is "my guy*," I have no confidence at all that he will win. The average voter simply isn't smart enough to understand what he's trying to accomplish. They hear "socialism" and run for the warm blanket of the familiar.

* Bernie is "my guy" only because Elizabeth Warren isn't running. Nothing at all against Bernie. He's "my guy" in 2016. But Senator Warren is Bernie Sanders with a higher IQ, a much better education, and more noble goals. I'm wondering if America can shed enough Silents/Boomers between now and 2020/2024 so that Liz is a shoe-in for the White House for the next cycle. Furthermore, I hope she chooses Nick Hanauer as her running mate. (And she puts Reich right back at his old job as Labor Secretary and Krugman in charge of the Fed.)

Oh man, Warren would be awesome. Sanders stands a very good chance of winning. Don't let the media convince you otherwise. They are out to get him, but he has a lot of steam behind him.

Literally anyone is better than Hillary. If Hitler was running against Hillary and he was promising to kill all white males, I would still vote for him over Hillary, and line up to be executed with a smile knowing Hillary wasn't going to be president.

Unfortunately, I see believing in this about the same as I see believing in Santa Claus. There is a small chance he will win. But it still comes down to delegates -- not votes. I've already done absolutely everything I am capable of doing to see to it that he is nominated. But I am not yet optimistic about his chances.

I don't have any faith in our electorate. You cannot lead them to water. They will not drink. They're hopelessly ignorant. And once again this election will boil down to a couple hundred thousand undecided Ohio voters -- the absolute bottom of the American barrel.

For me it's been week by week. Some weeks look better than others like this last week. In the coming week they say Ohio and Florida are the ones to watch.

That now that we're out of the southern states for the most part Bernie is expected to pick up steam gaining in delegates.

If it does indeed go far enough they say ultimately this primary will be decide by California on June 7th. Another one they keep bringing up is New York on April 17th is going to be a big deal too. Clinton was a Senator in New York. Right after that is Pennsylvania on April 26th and they're predicting Bernie will take it. That's also as far as his campaign has formally said he can go with his current campaign funding.

We set up a small donation each month and we donate a little more every time he wins so his campaign will keep going.

If I was running Bernie's campaign, I'd be begging Warren to be my running mate. A Sanders / Warren ticket, even the strong POSSIBILITY of one would throw a wrench in the machine.

I am hoping they are waiting for just the right moment to announce Warren as the running mate.

I really don't understand why she isn't running herself. She is brilliant and fights the good fight.

I hadn't thought about Warren for VP. She's repeatedly said she doesn't want to be President. That her work is in the Senate and someone has to fight the good fight there. She can have a long fruitful career there.

I am fairly confident that Senator Warren doesn't want the job. She is one of the most effective (and visible) senators in the country. I think that by her calculus, she should stay put for the good of the country. Given the fact that she's a shoe-in to keep her seat in 2018, her second term as senator will expire in 2024 when she is 75 years old.

That's when I expect that she'll run for higher office, if at all.

As VP, she would technically be head of the senate and back up in case someone decided to off Bernie. I wish she would do it.

Again, if I was Bernies campaign manager, I'd be sending Harry Reid ( who is a master ) over there to beseech her to pledge that if Bernie got the nod, she'd agree to run with him. That's all it would take. Bernie wouldn't even have to ask her. No actual deal would have to be in place. She would never actually have to run as VP.

I'm fairly certain she's not interested. She could have run for president -- and had a good shot at securing the nomination. In a "may the best woman win" contest, it's a no-brainer her over Hillary. But she's not interested.

We're so used to politicians speaking out of both sides of their mouth that we don't know what to do when one speaks the truth, unvarnished.
