Avoid Summerlin Hospital. Valley has a good ER, and UMC is right next door for trauma. Sunrise does trauma, but not at the level of UMC Trauma. Ask me about it in person some time. I will bore you with EMT stories.

I'm 50/50 on Mountainview. Shrug.

Centennial Hills has a decent ER. Just don't go upstairs.

The St. Rose Hospitals have a good reputation.

If it was up to me? Probably Valley.
Summer Lin was EXCELLENT for my open heart surgery. Centennial is terrible

You got lucky. I had to tell a nurse to wash his hands and change his gloves before touching my uncle's tracheotomy tube. They were also on a national list of highest death rates per hospital. Medicare was going to decertify them. Look it up.

Of all the hospitals my mother has visited over the years for surgery, Mountain View Hospital has made her well the fastest after surgery and gave her the best care possible. Very strict with their hourly/daily routine. She's been in UMC, Summerlin and Spring Valley hospitals.

I am a snowbird, spending 5 months here and 7 months in Minnesota. In Minnesota I am served by the Mayo Clinic health system. I have had pneumonia here and, at this time, I am currently recovering from recent outpatient surgery at Mountain View.

I think everyone I came in contact with here were competent and professional. Both experiences at Mountain View went to my satisfaction. I felt the doctors and nurses handling me did a fine job.

Where Mayo does a better job is at communication and at the details. I noticed that in Las Vegas they assumed I knew more than I did. Mayo seems to do a better job at taking more time to inform me of their procedures and why they do things the way they do.

If I needed hospital services here again, I would certainly go back to Mountain View.
