Las Vegas has very good Asian food for a city if its size.

He had to ask permission from the floor manager and she said no, those glasses are for people who purchase bottles. I about walked out and should have. The bartender blew me off and started helping someone else who just sat down. Then a repairman came behind the bar and started to work on something right in front of me. I was grossed out, tired of waiting to place my order and asked for a table. They hassled me about that, it wasn't even 5:00 and there were plenty of tables. I discovered halfway through eating my piece of salmon that it was raw in the middle of the thickest part. I showed it to the waitress when I was done (I ate both ends) and she said she could have it cooked more for me. My plate was empty except for the slab of raw fish and the tasteless plain white rice it was served with. I passed on the offer. I don't know how he stays in business. The food is inconsistent (some of it good, some not) and the service is horrible.

The last time I went to a wine tasting there, the amount of wine they poured was miniscule. I felt ripped off and vowed not to go back. I had to be in the area last night so I tried again, it was another bad experience. Who serves plain white rice and some poorly cooked vegetables as side dishes? Honestly, I can cook better. Todd is resting on his laurels and whoever is actually cooking needs some lessons.
Thanks for the review. I assume you mean Todd's Unique rather than Todd English's Olives or The Beast by Todd English.

I've never liked the ambiance at Todd's. I've had a couple ok meals there over the years, but nothing to write home about. Based on your review, I won't be back - not that I had any plans.

At é, there are two seatings per night: at 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. You need to book reservations weeks in advance unless you're lucky to snag a last-minute cancellation. It is prix fix, nothing to order except booze.

This is the dining room in the picture below. There is one high top table, semi-circle, and all the food is prepared in front of you. My recollection is each seating can have as many as 8 people, but I haven't eaten there since the pandemic and they may have reduced the number for social distancing. The photo seems to show seating for 6. I have reservations to go in in April. The last time I ate there, they served at least a dozen - maybe 15 - small plates to each person, each exquisite and unique. There are probably a dozen chefs to prepare the food for the 8 guests, all of whom come out at the end to take a bow to a standing ovation.

One of the interesting things is that since you're at a table with strangers, you get some interesting conversation and meet some nice people.

It is pricey. Currently $290 per person - but absolutely worth it IMHO.
