The first few lines of the website do state the shuttle is no more, then it has the original post below.

Quote:. (UPDATE: The Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino ended their free shuttle service on November 5th, 2017. Guests can still get to the Strip for free by walking next door and taking the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino Shuttle to the Las Vegas Strip. Below is the original article about the Rio’s free shuttle service

I see my reply is too late to help the poster but for others I have done the walk many times. Not a big deal as the walk is pretty easy BUT there is a long walk-way bridge you pretty much have to walk for part of it as there are no sidewalks over the freeway I don't believe. The walk-way thing is pretty sketchy and you frequently pass sketchy looking people (homeless or something). However, during the day I don't think much about it. I probably wouldn't walk it at night though.

We actually ended up going over there and giving her a ride to and from. We looked at the route and noticed the bridge that looked like it would add some good time to it. But we were there in the morning, around 10:30 a.m and no homeless people were camped out on it, totally clear. That could have something to do with the new homeless rules that Mayor Goodman is working on. But Ballys was not that close to the Rio. I think it took more time driving to it, than it would have been to walk it. Even early in the day like that. It ended up good.

This sounded to good to be true to me, but it is not. Chase bank is giving you $300 just for opening a checking account with them and having a direct deposit to it from either your employer or government program. You have to keep the account open for 6 months. You can even get $600, but then you need to open a savings account too with a minimum daily balance of $15,000. For obvious reasons, I cannot do that, but if you can, great! I am going to do the checking account since I already get direct deposits.

I have not done this yet, but all I see I have to do is I get a coupon emailed to me and then I have to go to a branch to open it. I did check into the Wells Fargo $400, but the one I found said you need $3,000 a month in direct deposits for 3 months to qualify. I would not qualify. Is that the one that you did?

No but mine was 18 months ago. I’m not a fan of chase bank.

Going to have some freezing temperatures tonight in some parts of the valley. A night that only Katietheheartbreaker will hate. Just add more blankets and a cat. But I don't recommend a cat while she is driving.
