I did not mean to start a fight up on here. I just feel we should be thankful for the lifestyle we have as Americans. Unfortunately, almost everything we consume is made in China. It is unavoidable as our own manufacturing base is now non-existent. I personally would be willing to pay a little more for Chinese goods so that these people are not treated like slaves. Can you imagine having to work 14 hours a day and having to live in a small dormitory in the same building with all your coworkers? This is not right and needs to change.

I really want to say something about how I feel about the labor conditions in China, but I don't want to make anyone mad. Maybe another place? If it were child labor would you still want to buy the product? Why does Apple contract with China to mass produce this crap? Why do the Chinese accept the working conditions? I notice in that article it says they are forced to stand yet I see chairs? Oh so many questions.

There are no civil rights in China. U.S. companies outsource to keep the selling price competitive.

In the Norm! column this morning:

Change may be coming to the Fountainbleu. There are rumblings owner Carl Icahn has considered tearing it down and selling the scrap metal to China.

Please! I'd miss that building on our skyline!

That is just crazy and an incredible waste of money.
