Hello all, i am going to be moving to Las Vegas the first week of July, i am looking for a place to live. I have a full time job as i am active duty air force, i will be working at Nellis AFB. I have bad credit, so i don't think i will be able to go through a Property Mgt company or even some of the big apt complexes, so if anyone mod cut: direct request removed knows of a good place to start, please let me know. I am 24 and i do not party, i am very clean and respectful i would treat it as it is my own. Thanks for any help. Ok here is a little more information about what i would like. I would like it to be in a nice area that isn't a really bad drive to base, i don't mind driving but i would like to keep my commute to no more then 35 minutes each way. So i assume that would be somewhere in North Las Vegas, or Northwest. I do not want to live real close to the strip. As long as it is in a good neighborhood i will be perfect. I don't want to pay anymore then 1000 pr month. I prefer less than that but if i need to pay that for a good place i will.

You're not likely to find a 2+br place in a decent area for that little $. If you do, let me know where!

Good luck, and welcome to LV!

There are several new Apartment complex going up not far from Nellis. Locations are along Craig Road, Centennial and 5th St are just two locations I can think of. There are other brand new ones along Losee near Tropical Way. These are brand new complex some with garages that should be in your budget.

There are about 78 places under 1000 per month and still 10 at under 850. You can get a 2/2 in Centennial Hills for under $900. And the most interesting thing is half of them have garages...a thing virtually unheard of in the rest of Las Vegas.

Nobody mentioned this, perhaps because it is obvious, but I will be captain obvious just in case. Cash is king. Some apartment complexes even have specific policies for dealing with people who either can't pass a credit check or won't give permission for a credit check, usually all they want is a larger deposit and/or some number of months paid up front.

Default try complexes

I know you said that your credit was bad and so is mine. I've contact several places and they said that with 2-3 months deposit it would be fine. If you have that there are some nice complexes...plus you have the beneift of a steady job.

I could be wrong but I think most places only check your credit to see if you owe other
complexes back rent, they don't care about the other stuff, so if you owe anyone rent i'd
get that paid off right away.
