I just moved back to Las Vegas after a 6 year sabbatical in San Antonio, TX.

While in San Antonio, I frequented a great coffee shop there that had friendly regulars who would get their coffee, then sit down and stay for a while....maybe read their book in the morning or do homework in the evening.

I am looking for a similar place here in LV: somewhere I can commit to going to frequently and become regular, and in the course of doing this make a couple new friends and acquaintances along the way. Basically I'm looking for a coffee hole where I can mellow out and get to know some regulars. My preference would be in the south part of the city.... (south of sunset, east of LV BLVD)

If anyone has any advice or recommendations along these lines, I would love to hear it. PM me if you don't wish to post your hangout online. THANKS

There's a Coffee Bean location in the District at GVR...it could be worth a try. There are always tons of locals who frequent the District.

When they had the Coffee bean and tea leaf in Aliante, they had games you could play with others like Scrabble, Monopoly and others. Maybe they do that in other Coffee bean and tea leaf places too. That's a good way to get to know others.

Well, it's not in the southeast, but Lou's Diner seems to be that type of place. It's on Decatur just south of the 95.

Lous is the best in town and they would welcome ceramic yoyo's with open arms
