I have gotten a lot of DM's, so I will just post the info here. The name of the Company is protec security. He also recommended security unlimited for an easy hire. Be forewarned that both of these companies are going to pay minimum wage, or just above it. However, they are very easy jobs that anyone can do.

Pro-Tec Security

Security Unlimited - Home

Never give up a professional license if you don't have to. If you decide to move out of state depending on the laws and you wish to sell in the new state you may not have to go through testing again. I found this out the hard way. I am planning to move to Vegas and I just have to transfer my insurance license. No test just fees. Of course I will get a nonresident license first to establish myself first.

My guess on the real estate issue is, getting affiliated with a good brokerage and being very good with people and networking and putting in about 40 hrs. a week, you would probably only make about $20K something the first year. Keep in mind the hours of that would be so flexible, you could do other things. I was also not under the impression that the market there was that overly saturated with agents. It's pretty easy to be taken on by a good broker, at least I found that to be true, whereas your other choices require getting hired after you spend the money for schooling.

Fourth choice: have you given any thought to starting some kind of business again?

i dont think the problem with real estate is with the brokerage.. there are just too many people buying the low end and you have to take them everywhere.. to get a shot for buying the house you are in a serious bidding war.

as for another business, i already have one... i do airbrushing for kids parties.. so we will see.. but i still have a few coals in the fire... ive been getting called for interviews this week, so who knows...

one major thing that i decided (at least for now), im not interested in working on the strip at one of the hotels. the pay is only average and the traffic is a real pain in the tush..

FOX had a story yesterday morning about some school that was about 30K. Heavy equipment type stuff. A whole room full of people went through the school and then couldn't get jobs. Beware. I'm guessing the schools are scamming to stay in business.

I left LV on Wednesday. I will probably never return. I too, have a BBA, and I also have a CDL B. The heavy equipment school is a scam. Part of their sales pitch is that they will give you fake work experience reference(s) for your resume. It was a 6 week course for 5000. Bartender school is a big rip-off, also. Good luck to you , though. I sure as heck wouldn't recommend Ohio.
