I just put up a post about moving to Henderson and coming out there in a few days to find a place. As I'm not really able to get a good idea of what are good places or not from my internet searches I'm going to be relying pretty heavily on the suggestions of the Apartment Finding Service Las Vegas Apartments - We Understand and Know About Leasing Apartments In Las Vegas (http://www.lasvegasapartments.com/leases.html - broken link)

Has anyone used them in their Apartment hunt?

I used them when I first moved to Vegas long ago. The first apt complex they sent me to, the apts were so tiny, not much of my things would fit. And i didn't want to put everything in storege. So the ladies working in the office of the apt complex wrote down a few apt names for me to check out, and then i found a nice big apt for less than the first apt complex charged. So for me it worked, in a different way.

You can always do like i did, ask the people in the office about other complexes if you don't like the apts they send you to, or they are too small. Or the neighbors have 50 million kids screaming outside the windows.

It is a volume business. They get paid a small sum for each head delivered. The need to deliver a lot of heads to make a reasonable living.

I don't think you will find them very selective in the places recommended. And I think their recommendation is likely based on things other than making you happy.

Think about it...

How much are you paying them?
