Chenal Valley - upscale, new, McMansion-style homes in far West Little Rock.
College Station - historically poor, black area, ravaged by a tornado a few years back.
Heights - old money, lovely older homes, politically conservative, very charming and walkable to many upscale shops and restaurants.
Hillcrest - middle-to-upper middle class, liberal, Craftsman-type houses, also very charming and walkable to funkier shops, restaurants, and bars.
Little Rock - the city is made up of many neighborhoods, including those above and below and others such as Leawood, Pleasant Valley, Capital View, and the Quapaw Quarter to name a few.
Maumelle - planned community, middle class homes and apartments.
North Little Rock - like Little Rock, NLR is composed of many different types of neighborhoods including those listed here as well as Park Hill, Levy, and others. I'm not as familiar with NLR, maybe someone else can jump in here.
North Little Rock/Downtown - up-and-coming area, many new apartment buildings and restored homes, Argenta arts and entertainment district is growing.
North Little Rock/Lakewood - established neighborhood of middle-to-upper-middle class homes, mid-century and later. great proximity to just about anything in NLR and many parts of LR.
West Little Rock - the newest and currently fastest-growing part of town, west of I-430. lots of big box stores and chain restaurants, but some smaller, local restaurants and shops as well. most homes built in the 1970s and later, middle-to-upper-middle class.
Southwest Little Rock - working class, most homes built in the 1970s and later, thriving Latino community.
Sherwood - largely middle class, homes built 1970s and later. it does seem to be growing, but I'm not overly familiar with Sherwood.

probably what would be more helpful would be for you to describe the type of neighborhood you like, and we can make some recommendations.

Default Woodlands Edge Neighborhood - West Little Rock

My family lives in a neighborhood called Woodlands Edge. It is a great family neighborhood with preserved greenspaces and an extensive trails system.

We just had an Arbor Day celebration for the kids in the park yesterday!

The location is great, its located in the heart of west Little Rock and very close to shopping, dining & business.

You can find out more at Woodlands Edge Little Rock Arkansas Subdivision - Home. Good luck with the relocation!

It's also won numerous National Awards!

Pleasant Valley is a great area in West Little Rock. Lots of park space, playgrounds, two neighborhood pools ect. The neighborhood has tons of kids and couldn't be more kid friendly. Very convent location, steps to everything in WLR and a lot closer to Midtown (Shopping area in Little Rock) than Chenal, also closer to Downtown. Its a very pretty neighborhood with lots of trees are green space. People are great and the homes are very nice. Traditional style homes built mostly in the late 60's and 70's. Homes can be found on sites like "Zillow.com" and "forsalebyowner.com" Good luck!
