Am I the only person who is noticing the increase in small aircraft/helicopter traffic in this area ? We cannot go two minutes without hearing the buzzing of these low flying planes during the day, and hear them frequently at night as well, even at 4am . I thought there was a minimum altitude of 1500' required, many of these planes are flying lower than that.
Been living here over 15 years, never had a problem before. Has small aircraft traffic been re-routed ? I feel like I live on the LIE for aircraft !!
yeah, that's also in greenlawn and many other north shore western suffolk towns.... it's actaully helicopter and private plane traffic shuttling the elite from NYC to their hampton retreats.... greenlawn citizens are actually fighting that, and trying to force the FCC to stop permitting private companies / flights from flying over land. If you live there, you might want to look into joining their plight.... or maybe starting a sister group in your town... good luck... you have my empathy!
