Looks like a Red Robin is coming to Carle Place by Glen Cove Road and Old Country Road. Yummmm! I am somewhat excited about this but hope it is not yet another disappointment, like when Denny's came to Levittown on Hempstead Turnpike. I will save my comments for another thread, but that Denny's is the worst designed and worst tasting Denny's I have stepped foot in.

Denny's is low-class food, what did you expect? I do like Red Robin though.
I consider Red Robin to be more of a lower mid-scale type place, whereas Denny's is lower low-scale. But not all Denny's are horrible. I used to frequent a Denny's upstate and their food was good (almost bordering on great). The problem with Denny's in Levittown is what's wrong when you have foreigners (and I am NOT talking about Mexicans) trying to cook American food. Actually, the Denny's in Centereach is awesome; good food and clean.
The press releases say Roosevelt Field Mall and also say it will be on Old Country Road, but I actually think it is coming to the Glen Cove Country Center on the Glen Cove Road side. I think it is going where the "Palace" furniture store once was. Does anyone else have any more info?
Country Glen Center on the corner of Old Country Road and Glen Cove Road - next to Chipotle. NOT in Roosevelt Field, diagonally across the intersection.
There used to be a Red Robin in the Smithaven Mall 15 years or so back. I never ate there. I heard it was decent.
Denny's sucks. We already have enough low quality diner food here on LI, what's the point of Denny's?
