Hello,

I might be taking a job in Great Neck next year. I currently reside in Huntington with my family however am not a big fan of the long drive (particularly during rush hour). If I do decide to move closer to the potential job, any suggestions for affordable towns with easy access to the city and some sort of nightlife?

Thanks!

What do you consider "affordable"?

Haha thats a good question. Well I'd be looking to rent a 1 bedroom. I'd hate to spend more than $1200-1300 a month

Bayside queens is 10 min away (by car or train). There is plenty of nightlife and you should be able to find a decent 1 bedroom. Port Washington is also close. I'm not as familiar with the area, but I know many people recommend it. Both have easy access to the city on the same excellent train line.
