My husband and I and our 9 month old baby are moving from queens, ny to Woodbury, long island. We did the standard research like demographics etc and have driven around the area. We found an amazing house. Syosset schools are exceptional, so we are told. Can anyone tell us more info ? thanks ziggi...

Woodbury is very nice. The area may be changing a bit from mostly affluent Jewish familes to more of a mix, with a good number of Asians moving in for the School District (which is supposed to be excellent). The location is great, and beautiful areas. The couple people I know that live there seem to like it.

Good luck, I hope you enjoy it. Congrats on the little one...isn't it the most amazing thing in the world?

We have a little one and another on the way and moved from Queens to Garden City I guess for similar reasons. No regrets so far...

If you can afford it, go for it. As the other posters have stated, it's beautiful, well located, and with an excellent school district!
