Anyone else get a message from LIPA? (house, neighborhood)

Yesterday I got a message from LIPA warning me of the storm and things to do, phone numbers, etc. I asked my friends and no one else did. Must have given them my cell phone # at some point. Did anyone else receive this message?

Yesterday around 4:15. It did not leave me with a sense of confidence in LIPA.

not a phone call but a e-mail notification for me....

I have got the phone call on home phone yesterday and 2 e-mails. Nice to know we pay the highest rates but except to not have power for 7 - 10 days and the savings will be a few dollars. I saw Cuomo today saying the someone from his department would be watching LIPA through this whole storm and clean up, hope that will help them move faster.

I got a message on Friday night from them alerting me of the upcoming storm and to be prepared with supplies in case power is out for days. Yep.

Too bad they didn't spend the summer trimming branches, limbs and brush. Guess we'll see what that means.

Oh, and I did receive a call and an email.

I saw Asplundh trucks in my neighborhood today trimming branches that were touching wires.I think they are subcontractors for LIPA.
