I actually witnessed a large box truck tear the thing to shreds on the Northern State. It was awesome. Had he moved to the center lane he would have just made it.
If you are a professional truck driver, then you have to be aware of the laws of each state. If you cannot do that, then you should find another career.

This could be said of any occupation. Unfortunately there are way too many idiots today that have no common sense or skills.
Sometimes it's the old language barrier.
I remember some dude doing this a while back and said he couldn't read the signs because he didn't speak or read in English.
Robert Moses designed the parkways so that city minorities could not take buses to use Long Island's beaches, which were meant for the residents. He had the right idea. I never go to Jones beach anymore for that very reason.
Smith Point and Sunken Meadow are more of the same. On the weekends, Sunken Meadow is like a giant fiesta.

So the picture of the truck in a circle with a line thru it at the entrance is in what language he didnt understand?
I saw another article on it. The driver has a dash cam.
There was another one that hit on the Meadowbrook Friday morning just north of the Southern State knocking out the left and middle lane. My commute was fun.....
if the driver has a dash cam, he was clearly not using it. he was using his cell phone, hence the moving around.
Funny (well not really) but the radio has been playing commercials about this on the air lately. They use the slogan "check it or wreck it" for the drivers to know about NY state road rules.

If someone can't speak or read English, how are they capable of passing a permit test for a license, or the road test? While the written tests might come in several languages, the signage is all the same. Isn't there more stringent testing for drivers operating tractors trailers?
