We moved to Bellmore (just north of Sunrise) during the summer; so far, it's a good fit. Most of my neighbors are tradesmen (as am I); they drive Chevys and Fords, cut their grass, and wave when we walk by.

We looked at the flood maps when we were looking for a house, and most of the flooding was below Sunrise Highway.
