For all the complaining, I have been working straight through it all and all I see on the way to work everyday are joggers, walkers, tennis, golf, beach goers. I'm curious to see how excited folks will be to go back to their old normal drudgery and give up the free socialist cash. Even the pickup in traffic is starting to suck again. Taking the govt cheese has been working for big corps for a decade. Maybe it's the consumer/workers turn at the feed trough.
Not popping anything, but jobs coming back is a good thing, still a ways to go.

Funny you mention trump was saying today he wants to give out MORE free cash! Lol

Ding dong, we're on the same side. Derp. GOP extending socialist branches = irony. States already extending benefits (NJ 20 weeks, others to follow), and The American Workforce Rescue Act is likely to pass in an election year and that will extend benefits indefinitely until states reach specific unemployment targets. But I don't know what I'm talking about. And we're on the same side. More's the freakin' pity.

Uh, but there was no five week extension of the federal benefits as you stated. I expect the Schumer bill to go nowhere in the Senate unless McConnell's back is against the wall because of COVID continuing to run wild across the south and the newly rehired are on the bricks again.

It hasn’t gone anywhere yet, and McConnell made it clear it won’t happen unless there is a litigation ban on COVID lawsuits which the Dems don’t seem inclined yet to support.

Looks like the reported disease spikes in the west aren’t yielding the death rates some in the media seemed to be hoping for.
CNN has apparently just (last night) realized mortality rates in the East were driven by nursing homes and serious co- morbidities amongst the elderly . Nursing home residents alone comprise 43% of all US deaths. Of course that shatters the ‘we’re all gonna die - blame Trump’ media message but the new data related to the new cases is outrunning the narrative.

^ Read similar article. The mutated virus that’s down south is a lot more contagious but not even close as deadly as what northeast had. Guess that’s a good sign?

I suspect it's equally contagious. It may have mutated or, driven by Northeastern experience we may be doing a better job protecting the elderly. Or both.

Covid-19 was always a serious situation but never a death sentence.

Instead of suspecting, read about it. Scientists are claiming it is 3 to 9 times more contagious than the strain that initially hit. Thankfully it is not more deadly and may be less deadly.

This article has the link to Cell magazine which published the study in case you want to see the original study.

Why do you repeatedly do that?

Why would you put yourself in that situation? Wear a mask, because the threat is real and easily transmitted. If there's a severe rash spreading through your kid's school, you're ok not taking precautions for them?

Why downplay it on the Internet like that's what actually matters? Are you walking around mask-less around people or what? Is that what you want everyone else to do?
