LI schools are more consistently funded and better with fewer exceptions. In many other areas there is more of a variance between “poor” and “good” districts and schools within them.

As I pointed out in another thread, one northern suburb county of Atlanta that’s growing in diversity and tech is nearly equal to the Nassau median income, has a higher % of college grads and less unemployment.

For some that’s not good enough, but for many others it’s an opportunity to move.

It takes taxes to fund the schools, and the companies don't want to pay them. So they move to the lower tax areas. Since people don't want to pay the taxes either, they move to the lower tax jurisdictions, so the companies can still find workers.

Since the federal tax change on deducting state and local taxes went into efffect, there has started a wholesale bailout of people from high tax states. But when they have kids and want good schools, they complain.

Long island teachers and cops is all a hack political network of family and there buddies!

Don't expect fairness or equality in the process regardless of your resume.
