Well that's also probably $50k in extra taxes you'll be paying in the interim.
Very true, but my pension jumps much more than that, along with contributing to my 401k and additional 5yrs. Financially it makes sense for me to stay 5 more years, and keep my current job here.

Local culture seemed fine with me. Sure, the pizza and bagels suck, but the people are very nice.
