I don't understand these questions - what if you end up with the one person in town who is a crazy nutjob racist? No one can predict that. My sister lived next to the town nutjob in Huntington. Everyone in town knows him. Nothing you can do about it.

We are a young minority couple moving to Kings Park with 2 kids. What is Kings Park like? How are the schools? I see that it’s not very diverse which I don’t mind as long as the people are welcoming and friendly. Are residents friendly towards minorities?
No not a victim at all. It is not my intention to come off that way. I am just seeking more information about an area I am not familiar with based on a post I saw on this site.
Just like everywhere else you will be treated fine as long as you.treat others well. Dont rent out an.illegal apartment. Keep your house neat looking. Park in.front of your own house. Those are the Cardinal rules of suburbia.
If you want someplace more diverse for comfort level, there are plenty of other places on.LI that can.fit your need. What specific minority group would you like to be with?

By assuming the least racist people are racists in a nice middle class neighborhood. Ok
Per the NYS report card Kings Park School district demographics:
BLACK OR AFRICAN AMERICAN: 23 students = 1%
HISPANIC OR LATINO: 314 students = 12%
ASIAN OR NATIVE HAWAIIAN/OTHER PACIFIC ISLANDER: 97 students = 4%
WHITE: 2,243 students = 82%
MULTIRACIAL: 51 students = 2%
Keep in mind there are people like me who are white Hispanic. My children were counted as Hispanic, not white for our school district census. (Not KP) Long story short, some of those 314 students are going to be white.
