It's the same reasoning in theory, but much different legally as it eliminates the certification by leagues on only one component of eligibility- which is protected at a state level under NYS Human Rights Law.

He also could have just used his soap box to pressure the governing bodies of the leagues to do something about it, without opening the county and its taxpayers to liability with the executive order.

In an unrelated matter, he's also earmarked $500,000 initially to sue the state over the change in election procedure, as he's afraid to run a race for CE in a year when people actually show up to the polls.
He’s not the only one. Plenty will be in that election year lawsuit.

Blakeman’s ban on the trans boys competing in girls sports may actually head off expensive lawsuits (something that should have occurred to the trans fans):

Athletes Sue NCAA For Allowing Transgender Women To Compete, Use Locker Rooms

Sixteen female athletes filed a federal lawsuit against the NCAA for allowing transgender women to compete in college sports…

LI Roller Rebels sue Blakeman

First volley fired back at Blakeman, in case anyone didn't think this would ultimately end with the county embroiled in lawsuits and settlements at taxpayer expense. THIS is the reason people should be upset, even if we agree with the competitive disadvantage.

Well, you know folks on either side nowadays will sue, so no need to get upset. Or surprised. Looking out for the safety of the girls and competitive fairness within their sports has a price.

Do the LI Roller Rebels use county facilities? On their events page I couldn't find an event held in a county facility.

If they don't they may not have standing.

From the article: “This cruel policy sends the dangerous message that trans people don’t belong in Nassau County,” said Curly Fry, a member of Roller Rebels, in a statement.”

Nope. It stops the trans boys from pushing around the smaller girls.

Curly Fry?

Curly doesn't say they have a trans member just that they "believe in diversity" and "stand against transphobia". My guess is a lot of the LIRR members would hang up their skates if confronted by natural males filling out team rosters as female.

Let these whackos sue.
Need to break the cycle. At some point you have to stand up to bullies and tyranny no matter what the cost. All this crazy needs to be stopped.
I’d rather see tax dollars go to something like this instead of stupid foreign countries or public sector salaries and such.

One minority group (by numbers) of individuals with a mental disability (gender confusion) should not affect the workings of society. When one argues about equality, individual rights etc; we have to reasonably look past the individual and view the totality of the situation. Liabilities to the county are enough for me to support the County Executive.

The good of the many Trumps the good of the few. The understanding of the "What would a 'reasonable man'-(person, comrade, carbon unit, furry, baby, or manhole cover) would do pretty much directs reasonable actions.

Yes, that was...

a shot...
