No doubt one can think of many arguments (strong and otherwise) to criticize Blakeman’s recent action. As is the case with absolutely anything any politician does.
He couldn't name one issue at county parks when asked, addressing a solution to a non-existent problem is pure political pandering in this case. He couldn't even name how many transgendered girls are playing sports in Nassau if any.

There are more important problems he should be addressing but he doesn't seem capable, so he resorted to this as if it's a success story.

Or he’s trying to prevent this from happening here:

Sometimes we admire leaders who get out in front of problems. (If one accepts the argument that trans boys may harm girls when playing contact sports).

The powerful trans lobby and left wing media hates this…I’ll grant you that.

There is no issue and this is really a microscopic percentage if at all that are dominating sports in the county. A more intelligent response would be to appoint a panel to determine if a trans athlete is dominating a sport and ban them, that is of course assuming that he could find one.

I would rather a county executive spend his time addressing real problems like the NUMC going bankrupt and tax assessments. This is just a photo OP, like his mask ban.

Be proactive and show this nonsense will not be tolerated.
Solve the problem BEFORE it becomes a problem.
Stop catering to this minority of whack jobs.
It’s astonishing how such a small group of nuts and losers can cause so much controversy and division.

Of course he’s working on those other issues. lol I love how people act like a 20 minute press conference and signing an exec order it’s taking up a crazy amount of his time and he’s just ignoring everything else. Total nonsense.

I'm amazed that anyone considers NUMC going bankrupt a major issue. That entire racket should have been shut down years ago.

“ State Attorney General Letitia James on Friday demanded that Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman rescind his executive order barring transgender girls from participating in girls sports at county parks and facilities, writing that it is in "clear violation" of the state's anti-discrimination laws.”

Per newsday today.

There's actually a lot more private money propping that place up than people think. Private hospitals have an interest in keeping it open as a place to direct the uninsured.

I guess this confirms that Blakeman was on the right track protecting the girls from the bigger trans boys.

Letitia James! Progressive heroine! LOL
