Average household income in Nassau County is under 95 grand so clearly someone making 1,200,000 would be in the "1 percent" club. Doesn't mean 100 K is nothing-it just isn't 1200K, or even 50 K. You can live a life without worries on 100 K this I know. I also know thiose who make 300 K that are living hand-to-mouth. I guess it is how you define happiness.
I did not say they made 1,200 million a year just they made 100K by January due to Bonus.
BTW the average "taxable" income on a tax return in Nassau County is 95K that does not mean folks make 95K.
That 95K is after 401K, Flex Spending, Transist check, Muni Bond Interest, and after unrealized gains from real estate, stocks, bonds and could include deductions for kids, property tax, depreciation on rental properties, mortgage interest, charitable contributions.
Most folk can easily make 160k and report 95K.Heck a 50 year old man can do 23,500 401K have 24K mortgage deduction, 16K property tax, 3k flex spending, 2k transist check and a stay at home wife and a few kids and give to charity and easily report a 95K taxable income.
Damn. I don't make anywhere near 100k and I'm getting by.
I don't even know what 100k bucks looks like, money goes that high?
I own a house and a wife and a few kids. It's tight but we manage.
I guess I need the 100k to cover the Benz, Yukon, jet ski, boat, etc...you know, the essentials.
So I suppose I'm poor with my second hand vehicles, 4 bedroom cape and boat with only 1 propeller.
And no second home in the Hamptons or upstate or wherever.
I dont have a four bedroom house like you only a three bedroom and I dont have a boat either. Maybe you should trade down to a smaller house and get rid of boat and then watch the $100 dollar bills pile up!!!!
