I believe the East Islip School district covers East Islip, Islip Terrace and Great River.

I have relatives in Islip Terrace - in the East Islip school district - a very good school district. They live north of Sunrise but if you go too far north (North Great River) you will change to the Central Islip School District. If you look in the northern areas of Islip Terrace (by the forks) make sure you know where the boundary is.

Slightly different subject but the area has THREE states parks (Heckscher, Connetquot and the Bayard Cutting Arboretum) as well as several county and town parks. There is also a cute little town area for East Islip and neighboring Islip hamlet.

A great area - good luck!

SCHOOL alone is $4600. OK you guys get it school only.
total Tax bill is just short of $8000.00 for a small cape, no pool, 1 car garage.
Gee lets vote to give the over paid EI teachers more this year.
Don't blame the teachers...blame the damn administrators!! How many assistant to the assistant directors and principals do we need? How many separate school districts do we need with all their administrators?
School taxes are the #1 problem on L.I......NUMBER 1 !!
