It's amazing what people will view as an "advance" when they don't know any better. Perhaps a thorough ear cleaning would help out.
I had to sell my high end audio system (Parasound tuner, Pre amplifier, amplifier, Paradigm speakers) due to financial reasons. I still have my Pioneer Elite cd player, Sony turntable and my ipod though. I used to have my ipod hooked up to it as well. The sound difference was not noticeable from cd to ipod. I actually do notice a difference with my vinyl as compared to the cds or the ipod though.

The best thing about the ipod is that you do not have to waste money on a cd that has only a few songs that you actually listen to.

I'm with the OP, say no to paid radio. I'm getting tired of NPR & 880am myself. I've got plenty of books on audio as filler.
Alas, I think all we're left with are podcasts. If you have a car audio hookup for your ipod, that is.

Assuming you have an ipod...and a rabbit with a pancake on its head.

You know your cooking is bad when the family pet doesn't eat it and uses it as a crash helmet.

If u enjoy 20 minutes of commercials every hour, FM radio is for you. If you can, by some way, afford $3.00 a week, get Sirius & you'll never have to put up with commercials anymore, unless u listen to Stern.

WEHM AAA and WLNG Oldies are the last truly original stations left on LI.

I occasionally listen to Craig Carton and Boomer. Craig Carton is not nearly as tasteless as Howard Stern. He does not spend the entire show talking about sex either. The times I have listened and Carton starts to get a little carried away Boomer has toned him down quickly.

For the most part Howard Stern's show was based on sex. I never turned his show on myself but I have worked with people who used to listen to him a lot so I would hear it while they were listening to him. I always found him to be crude, crass and just plain not funny.

I could only imagine how his uncensored show is on satellite. It must be like a pornographic radio show.

I love the z100 morning show, they are hilarious. It's not all Hollywood gossip..there is some of that, but a lot of times callers bring up real life every day issues that everyone talks about. Their phone taps are great. It's not for everyone, but this morning show is so popular it's played in other states including NY/NJ, PA, and FL.

100.3 all the way!

Loosen up. The WFAN morning show is hilarious. The disparity between Craig and Boomer is great.
