Just bought my first home in Mt Sinai, and need to furnish my master. I stopped in at some of the furniture showrooms on rt. 110 in Farmingdale and liked a few things, but im just wondering if anyone else has any first hand experience with any stores in particular. I want good quality hardwood furniture. Thanks

My daughter and son-in-law are very happy with Raymour and Flanigan. For myself, I haven't bought any furniture recently
I like Thomasville, and here is one nearby in Coram.
You have to be careful with Thomasville. Some of the pieces I looked at there were veneered -- I couldn't believe my eyes, especially after seeing the price tag.
One of my friends has purchased furniture from this company. Their furniture is handmade and spectacular. Well worth the price if you have the $. www.clearlakefurniture.com
