LA is not like that at all. Los Angeles is very much a blue-collar working class city.

People who think LA is "fake" spend too much time in areas like Beverly Hills.

Obviously the Charles figures were made up, and I found them to be pretty hilarious (especially with some of the more obscure cities). Nobody does a survey of % of materialistic people. I took it as a playful dig at the original post, which seemed to want some concrete proof of the level materialistic-ness of LA -- which is, obviously, something you can't quantify in numbers. But some didn't quite seem to get the joke (in fact the asking for a link to those stats was priceless), hence my "you don't get it" pic.

Anyway, +1 for the Funny Bunny. I'm definitely saving it for future use.
Ah, Ok, I get it then. TY for telling me though, sometimes I'm kinda slow!
I love the bunny too, I use it alot when I don't understand something.

Watching stupid reality shows, as previously mentioned, certainly helps the "fake" stereotype (maybe because TV is inherently "fake"?). A smattering of cheesy scripted ones as well.

So whatever happened to those 90210 people? Besides skinny Tori?
