If L.A. gets an NFL team, what should be its name? (Los Angeles: moving, bills)

There's been talk (don't know how honest it is) about Los Angeles Stadium being built in Industry and possible teams moving there (the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills being the most talked about). If a team does move to LA, what should be its name.

That's a kewl name! How about the Los Angeles "Satanas" ? Maybe some people wouldn't like the football team named about the devil or satan though. My cousin plays for a local Pop Warner team called the Los Coyotes which I personally think is a great name but coyotes basically are scavengers.

I think what's even more compelling than the Industry bid for a stadium is AEG's discussions about taking over the conventions center and building a football stadium/convention center expansion downtown. I like the team name, The LA Earthquake.

The eTeam (if it is an expansion team, gives the team a modern theme)

if the raiders, rams, or even chargers move to LA, you'd have to figure that the team would keep its name since each of those franchises already has a history and fanbase in the region.

but if it's any other team (e.g. vikings, jaguars, bills), then the nfl would probably mandate a cleveland browns-type of situation in which the city losing its team would retain the team name, colors, and history (with the franchise considered to have temporarily suspended operations in that city), while the relocated franchise would officially be considered an expansion franchise for LA. in which case, a new name would be needed.

if the jags move to LA, i propose that the feline predator theme be retained, with the new franchise rebranded as the "LA Cougars" in honor of the region's ample supply of fetching middle-aged women on the prowl.
