My friend Christina went to film school in L.A. and currently resides in Hollywood. She isn't a big time director or anything. She mostly does Independent Films but she wants to do bigger films eventually.

My roomate moved out here 3 years ago to be an actor. He has been in 1 Super Bowl commerical in '08 and still living off the paycheck. That's the real only big thing he has done though.

Does moving to L.A. from Orange County count (?) because I've got a list.

(And very funny, Charles. That's you? I thought he was obviously a guy from the Valley.)

Within 3 days of moving here, my husband and our baby were asked to be in a film project and now my husband is SAG-eligible because of it. Completely random and unusual occurance, though.

He had to give the director a headshot & resume, and we literally had to take a picture of him with our digital camera and print it out for the headshot.

He was also asked to write for a show that's just been picked up by FOX. We've only been here since Nov. It's all about luck, talent, and who you know. (his friend is the producer on the show)

Also, Charles? HAH!
