NOt sure if this is placed in the forum correct, But when I look through google earth after hearing about Carmaggedon on sat radio the 405 101 10 and the 5 all have names such as rosa parks, hollywood freeway santa ana etc but they are all the same roads it looks as if they are named different going east than west on the same section of road, is this a google issue or is that correct labeling and naming. Grand Ave overpass goes over the 10 or 110? santa ana or the hollywood freeway?Google says it is all of those.

Just was on the 10 from the westside to downtown for lunch. No traffic. Though when going back to the westside, saw the 10 east by the 110 was getting bad.

Default I was a victim of Carmageddon 2

San Diegan here. Went up to the Valley to watch my BFF's play at Cal State Northridge. I did not hear anything about Carmageddon down here but he was like "you should leave early, they shut down the 405." I was like OK, well I'll just leave an hour early. Yeah, should have been more like 2 hours early.Took me well over 4 hours to get up there, the 101 was completely jammed. And dumbass Siri kept telling me to take the 405 and would not give me alternate routes. I was over an hour late to the play, only got to see the second half. The return trip was bearable, made it back to San Diego in just over 2.5 hours. Will definitely be paying more attention to LA traffic the next time I make the trip up there.

Google maps traffic view is your friend. Can you get that yet on iOS6?

I'm somewhat technologically challenged. I don't even know what iOS6 is. And my traffic view app would not show up on my google maps on the route I was at. I think it's because I just do not know how to use it.

It's the latest iPhone/iPad software. Apple removed Google maps from the native map application causing a lot of unhappy customers. Supposedly you'll be able to download a separate Google Maps app from the App Store. You should upgrade if you haven't already, it now has built-in turn-by-turn navigation. Click on the lower right corner and select "show traffic."
