Near Eastern (especially Persian), Mexican, vegan/vegetarian, Asian, pretty much anything of the sort is delicious in LA. My favorite food city in the country is LA.

The L.A. restaurant world won't be perfect until Rick Bayless unasses and takes that resto of his to somewhere else. NYC seems like a good choice.

You're not gonna get the same great ethnic mix anywhere else.
NYC's range is much greater actually. However, I think on the whole, the ingredients/produce used in LA's cheaper inexpensive eateries are better than those used NYC's cheaper inexpensive eateries.

LA and NYC are pretty equal in what they offer, although LA offers better Asian, Middle Eastern and Mexican foods, while NYC offers better fine dining and European (mainly Italian). I prefer LA because I like Asian, Middle Eastern and Mexican street foods and cheap eateries (that are still good). Fine dining and European is nice every once in a while, but I don't care to eat it often. Plus, California has fresher ingredients in their food, which makes it better.

Does NYC have a toilet-themed Taiwanese restaurant? I didn't think so.

That sucks balls. What a degradation of Asian culture.

NYC's range is greater. Also, everything that LA does well, San Francisco does better, except for hamburgers. L.A. is the best burger city on earth
