Interesting to hear that most people don't consider 45 minutes that long of a commute. Most of my coworkers BALK at my commute. They all live relatively close to our offices and consider anything over 25 minutes too long. The only time I can get to my office in 25 minutes is in the middle of the night on a Sunday, lol. And even then, I'd probably have to book it on the highway to make that time.

I would definitely mind a long commute if I had one. I get to work in fifteen minutes, and get home within half an hour. I used to live in Glendale and work in Valencia, and that 30 miles took 45 minutes. I didn't mind, though, because the 210 and 5 freeways were always wide open. 45 minutes at 65 mph is very different from 45 minutes stuck in stop and go traffic.

Everyone minds a long commute. The only people who don't mind it are the same people who brag about working 70 hours a week (and only get paid for 40).

Seems unusual to have so many people live so close to the office . Where I used to work it seemed a lot of people lived at least 45 mins away . Housing was expensive nearby though and most were older people .
There were some people that worked in facilities that had even lived all the way in Fontana . I guess several of them had bought houses there when the housing market crash.
I think most of them came in early to work and left early .. But I really wouldn't want to commute from Fontana to Brentwood ...

It was the type of place where a lot of people worked there a long time .

I'm in Rancho and I commute to the tip of Glendale and I consider that a horrible drive unless it's at 4:30 in the AM. Leaving from farther East to come further West is crazy. Heck, for myself, I can't wait for my lease to be up.

Yeah that's a pretty long commute.
My dad used to live in Rancho and I remember it being a long commute from the westside when I would visit.

The only reason I do my commute to Downtown LA is because of the train. It makes it bearable from the IE. I come from Montclair. Most of my coworkers come from much further out like Riverside and Moreno Valley. Again, they take the train. Driving would've Crazy!!!
