Why is it OK for Armenians to fly Armenian flags on their cars? (Empire: extermination, dangerous)

i literally don't know why people are bent out of shape over this. This has been going on for years. Longer than some of these transplants have been here. There are many Armenians who contribute positively to our society. I hate the blatant generalization.

Armenian is an ethnicity. American is not.

If you were German, you would fly the German flag high. Even if you were American by birth.

agreed. the flags are not some sort of statement promoting non-assimilation. the flags are to bring awareness of the armenian genocide. they will come down at some point and people will forget about them until next april. since when is it not ok to be proud of your heritage? anyways, i'd rather see armenian flags flying around than confederate flags.

Agreed, this past Sunday (4/24) was the 101st anniversary of the Armenian genocide. This is not about rooting against the U.S. or anything of the sort.

If the OP wants real trouble try looking to places in Europe where immigrants are not as assimilated and are active participants in terrorist plots against civil society. By comparison, a few Armenian flags here or a Mexican flag there, not a big deal at all.

Fortunately, the U.S. is not an "ethnic" nation but is guided by its immigrant past and most importantly by the Constitution and the promise of the pursuit of happiness for each individual (i.e., the Declaration of Independence).
