Trust me..where I live Vanowen/White Oak - Sherman Way/Louise is going to be the nicest in the area. Go too far west and it's Reseda....no thanks to some parts.
If you need specifics on Lake Balboa, ask.

How's the area around White Oak and Hart Street? I'm looking to purchase a home in that area.

The best people to talk to besides people who live there are the mailperson and the local police. They will be the most honest.

Yea, the Westside - like Venice, Westwood, Palms, Brentwood, anywhere past La Cienega.

Not a good area at all and it's only getting worse! I wouldn't move there especially if you have kids as there's quite a bit of gang activity in Van Nuys.

Ha ha..tee hee. HA HA HA. Good one! Funny. Gotta go now make more money to just barely eek out another month of living expenses cause no entertainment connections, no UCLA mommy and daddy education, no trust fund child. Tough ******* for me. Anyway, thanks for the laugh. Van Nuys - ohhh no! HA HA HA.

I second this.

Always stay on the Westside of Los Angeles if possible. Like someone said, if you move to that cesspool Van Nuys, in a year or so you'd come out as another certified LA hater/basher.
