I am looking for a place to retire after my
divorce goes through.

I would love to find a picturesque area that is not in a big city, low crime rate, laid back, with and "hippyesque" (if that makes sense.)

I have lived in the redwoods, Arcata, California. But couldnt afford the house at that time. I can afford it now but I want to try a other state for a change.

serious only

Thanks in advance.

Im guessing Colorado or New Mexico has multiple places like that. I remember Golden, Colorado being like that but that was 25 years ago.

Wink Golden is golden

I just looked it up on Wiki pedia! I really like it. Now I am going to look for an area in Golden, Colorado that has a lot of trees and some wild life. (I plan to settle down and not move again so this next move is going to be IT

Do you know anyone who lives there? I cant imagine what it looked like 25 years ago because it looks great now.
