Seems like every weekend now there is a protest in L.A

How come never any against local leaders ?
No protest against DWP pay hikes , road diets , city hall corruption accepting big bribes from developers , sanctuary city polices that make the city less safe?
Where's the protest against rising violent crime?
Protest against the homeless issue whice the Mayor promised to fix but it only got worse when he got into office ?

Sad how all these people are distracted with Trump and totally apathetic and ignorant about real stuff that's happening right in their own backyard .

Also wonder if they know what the definition of fascism is .

HOLLYWOOD >> Motorists planning to drive through Hollywood could run into traffic delays and streets closures Saturday as opponents of President Donald Trump gather for one in a series of protests being held across the country.

Participants in the protest are expected to begin gathering at 3 p.m. at Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in front of the Hollywood & Highland shopping center. There is also expected to be a circular march through the streets of Hollywood, with the procession ending back at Hollywood & Highland.

Refuse Fascism LA group to protest, march against Trump in Hollywood

WTH is a "road diet"? Why should we be protesting against it?

Unless they've changed the definition, fascism has to do with government control of industry and commerce (among other things.)

Examples would be--government take over of a major car manufacturer (remember General Motors), taking control of the major banks ("too big to fail," the bank bailouts that weren't necessarily needed which put the banks until much stricter Federal control).

What has Trump done to change industry or commerce in any way at all?

Although I noticed that Google has now changed the definition of fascism to include the term "right-wing" without any explanation as to why.

That is the removal of traffic lanes in an attempt to force you to give up driving by making it harder on you, the "diet ". Presumably if you are not moving anyway you could be stuck on a bus and doing things like posting here instead of just listening to music or talk radio

Then CA is a facist State.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fascism
Definition of fascism

  1. 1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
  2. 2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control
Can't apply to Trump as he is not a dictatorial leader as neither party is supporting him.

Furthermore, "road diets" are part of U.N. Agenda 21. And road diets are just a small part of a much larger agenda, as explained here (by a liberal democrat, no less):

Fascism by its very nature involves Socialism. The trends and patterns of the current California Leader ship are very much in compliance with Fascism.

Good observations as always. The best I can surmise is that we have a city full of people so remarkably arrogant that they have no reservations about skipping over the first two steps of rational discourse as taught by a classical education, the gathering of all relevant information and analyzing it, and simply jump to step three which is to profess their discourse which is based on a small amount of information (and often emotionally driven). From where do they get this information? I really do not know for certain, but to those of us who follow politics and current events rather than watch comedy or drama shows during most of our leisure time, it's obvious these protesters know next to nothing about politics and current events outside of what they hear from their poorly informed friends and are simply pack animals following the herd right over the metaphorical cliff.

I too believe in the gist of this -- the idea is to condition us all into worker drones, content to live in the smallest living space possible and have as few amenities as possible. If they could condition us all to simply stand in a cubicle and recharge during our down time (e.g. Borg drones from Star Trek), they'd have us do that. I do not know why all the pro-growth supporters on this forum cannot understand that.

The "road diet" thing became popular in Seattle over the last few years. Turn 4 lane arterial roads into 2 lane roads and then take the 2 lanes that were removed and make them bike lanes. You know, because everybody should bike 15 miles to work through hilly terrain in a city that's overcast and wet 9 months of the year.
