In general, no, L.A. is not a great place to be fat. Are there fat people here? Of course. However, it's more difficult to date here than in other parts of the country simply because so many truly gorgeous people come here to try to jump start their acting careers, etc. People get hung up on "status", and being seen with a fat person goes against that whole idea. (I'm not saying this attitude is right, but it does exist!)
