Most roads have signs telling slower drivers to move over regardless of speed limit. Drivers like make it dangerous for the rest of us.

Actually the law says you are not supposed to use the left lane if you are not overtaking traffic (unless you can't). It doesn't have an exception for the posted speed limit. The reason for the law is it creates a safety hazard when people have to go around your right to pass you. Its in the vehicle code which you were required to familiarize yourself with when obtaining a license.

I suggest you re-read it for your self then. Vehicle code section 21654(a). It was linked earlier in the thread on the last page. Pretty clearly stated. Here, let me help you out since you seem to need it:

Quote:
21654.

(a) Notwithstanding the prima facie speed limits, any vehicle proceeding upon a highway at a speed less than the normal speed of traffic moving in the same direction at such time shall be driven in the right-hand lane for traffic or as close as practicable to the right-hand edge or curb, except when overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction or when preparing for a left turn at an intersection or into a private road or driveway.

1) that is for 2 lane highway and not for freeway 2) I will still drive in the number 1 lane(fast lane). I have yet to get even a warning. Speed limit is there for a reason. If people have a problem, you can pass me on the right.

Troll. Has to be.

It would explain a lot if it wasn’t, but it has to be a troll.
